Teb Marius is a senior consultant specialised in the (re)structuring of financial institutions and other corporate entities in emerging economies.

Born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on August 14, 1949, he spent his childhood near the sea in Scheveningen and The Hague. Here he completed his elementary education and continued to study law at the Dutch State Universities in Utrecht and Groningen. He obtained a master's degree in Public Notary science and Insolvency Practices.

After a three year period working in a legal practice, he entered ABN AMRO Bank in The Netherlands to pursue a career in banking. He held various positions within the lending business, specialising in the (re)structuring of loans to troubled corporate customers, both in the domestic and the international network. An opportunity to combine (international) legal practice and economic development.

Teb Marius joined the bank's International Consultancy Department in 1995 and ever since was involved in Institution Building and Technical Assistance Programmes worldwide, predominantly in the Financial Sector.  After retiring from the bank in 2002, he is now working as an independent consultant in the world's emerging markets, linking up with the Washington based Devex organisation and focusing on financial and organisation restructuring, business development, evaluation and monitoring of SME development programmes. He is a leading professional in economic reform.

Next to his professional career, Teb Marius, fancies classic car motoring; he is an aficionado of the Bristol marque and a prominent member of the Bristol Owners' Club; he is a golf addict and enjoys sailing the high seas. Since he loves good food, he is actively involved in cooking .....  to make sure it is done properly ........ the Worldcook's website provides the recipes.
